Position Overview
The Account Coordinator, Employee Benefits, is client-obsessed and dedicated to maintaining and cultivating positive working relationships, a crucial internal support resource. Responsible for providing efficient administrative and transactional support, this role manages high-volume service tasks by prioritizing accuracy and speed. They win as a team by collaborating closely with internal partners to ensure seamless client service and maintain a high standard of quality in all deliverables while contributing to a culture of teamwork, adaptability, and gratitude. Accounts range across the entire book of business.
The essential duties and responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop product expertise by learning and understanding all employee benefit insurance products, ensuring you can confidently support clients and share knowledge with teammates.
- Deliver outstanding, client-obsessed service by answering calls promptly, resolving client concerns with empathy, and maintaining a solutions-focused approach.
- Maintain accurate records by accessing client accounts, updating policy schedules, and managing documentation processes with precision and integrity, ensuring clients consistently receive high-quality and dependable service.
- Serve as a primary resource for answering routine client service inquiries, including eligibility status, ID card requests, and basic billing questions, resolving them with speed and empathy.
- Collaborate with teammates by participating in weekly meetings, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues with tasks as needed to Win as a Team.
- Work collaboratively with team members to collect and manage client data, utilizing technology platforms and benefits administration systems such as BenefitPoint to ensure timely and accurate entry, tracking, setup, and ongoing maintenance.
- Support new client onboarding by overseeing setup and maintenance in management systems and portals, ensuring a smooth and positive experience that sets the foundation for lasting partnerships.
- Assist in office administration to help maintain smooth operations, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth as a relentless learner, modeling adaptability and curiosity.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate candidly and explain detailed policy concepts simply.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Google Suite is preferred.
- Experience in the BenefitPoint application is preferred, or basic knowledge of an Agency Management System.
- Knowledge of navigating carrier portals – BCBS, UHC, Delta Dental, etc.
- Knowledge of, and practical experience in, staple insurance products – Medical, Dental, Optical, and Ancillary lines – LTD/STD, Life insurance, Accident, etc.
- A minimum of 3 years of insurance brokerage or industry experience.
- Life/Health License required or obtained within 6 months of employment.
Compensation
At BlueStone, we value fairness, transparency, and a supportive culture. Compensation for this position is based on experience, skills, responsibilities, internal equity, and market conditions. In alignment with the Equal Pay Act, employees performing substantially similar work receive equal pay opportunities.
Pay Range: $55,000 – $70,000
